Placement & Career Services

The Joint Meeting Placement and Career Center provides an invaluable resource for candidates and institutions to interview and discuss professional opportunities within student affairs. The Joint Meeting will offer the largest student affairs placement service for candidates and employers ever, with more than 1200 position listings and 1600 candidates expected.

Registration Deadlines

Register on-line beginning November 1, 2006!

Early bird deadline - January 31, 2007 - Registration form and payment must be received or postmarked by 1/31/2007.

Regular registration deadline - February 28, 2007 - Registration form and payment must be received or postmarked by 2/28/2007. Last day to mail or fax registration forms.

Late Registration - Registration forms or payments received or postmarked on or after March 1, 2007 will be processed at the late registration rate.

Cancellation of Placement Registration - March 1, 2007 - Candidates not registered for the joint meeting will be locked out of the placement system if they are not registered for the joint meeting by this date.

Change Fee - February 28, 2007 - Candidates and employers must be registered for joint meeting by February 28, 2007 in order to avoid additional fees.

Credit Card Changes - Employers wishing to change the credit card that has already been charged for their registration will be charged an additional $10 to cover the credit card fees.

Placement System Shuts Down - May 25, 2007 - Last day to access the online system. Employers and candidates should print any information they need prior to May 25, 2007.

Note: Registration is not considered complete until full payment is received. If payment is received after the stated deadline, next higher rate will be charged.

All participants, employers and candidates must register for the joint meeting in addition to placement.

Placement Orientations and Workshops

Placement offers a number of Orientations for both candidates and employers. All candidates and employers are strongly encouraged to attend one of the orientation sessions. Individuals who have attended the orientation sessions have generally had a more positive and beneficial experience using the placement service onsite. Placement has a number of handouts, planning guides and onsite forms available for candidates and employers. You can access these forms here.
